The Willem de Kooning Academy is discontinuing the offer of preparatory courses (online and offline versions) with effect from the coming academic year (2024/2025). The strategic team has decided to discontinue the preparatory courses in their current form. Inclusiveness and accessibility of higher art education are important values and for this reason, the strategic team wants to redesign the whole process of the admission procedure - including preparatory -courses. Ending the prep-courses is a first step,
The Academy will examine in 2024/2025 which changes we need to make for future art education. The dedication by the highly skilled team of colleagues who shaped the preparatory courses has been much appreciated.
Vooropleidingen Willem de Kooning Academie gestaakt
De Willem de Kooning Academie staakt het aanbod van vooropleidingen (online en offlineversies) met ingang van het komend studiejaar (2024/2025). Wil je op de hoogte gehouden worden van onze voorlichtingsactiviteiten die informeren over het toelatingsproces op de Academie, schrijf je dan hier in.
Eind september informeren we je per mail over onze voorlichtingsactiviteiten.
Het strategisch team heeft het besluit genomen om te stoppen met de vooropleidingen in de huidige vorm. Inclusiviteit en toegankelijkheid van hoger kunstvakonderwijs zijn belangrijke waarden en om die reden wil het strategisch team het hele proces van de toelatingsprocedure - inclusief vooropleidingen - opnieuw vormgeven. Het stopzetten van de vooropleidingen is daar een eerste concrete stap in.
De Academie onderzoekt in 2024/2025 welke wijzigingen men voor het kunstvakonderwijs in de toekomst wil maken. De vakkundige jarenlange inzet door het team collega’s dat de vooropleidingen heeft vormgegeven, is zeer gewaardeerd.
