NEW DUAL DEGREE TRACK: COMBINE A STUDY AT WDKA WITH A PHILOSOPHY BACHELOR AT ERASMUS UNIVERSITY
Did you know that you can combine a bachelor study at WdKA with a study at Erasmus University? After successfully running 2 Dual Degree tracks for the last 8 years, we will now add a third Dual Degree track with the Bachelor of Philosophy at Erasmus University.
Why study a Dual Degree with Philosophy?
Are you curious about the foundations of modern society and are you interested in exploring different perspectives on it? Are you eager to make, to be involved in art or design and apply your insights? The new Dual Degree combination of Willem de Kooning Academy (WdKA)* and Erasmus School of Philosophy (ESPhil) may be just your thing. In this dual track you can discover and develop your creative talents through one of the many bachelors at WdKA while at ESPhil you can learn to think academically and analytically about our society. At WdKA you will be challenged to link your creative practices to urgent societal issues you observe around you. The EsPhil track will provide you the methodological tools to analyze such societal contexts critically and from different angles.
How does it work?
The Dual Degree is a 5-year track in which you combine both your study at WdKA with your at Erasmus University. After completing this track you will receive 2 bachelor diplomas, at both institutes.
After graduation you will have the possibility to:
- Follow a science–based, arts-based–, or interdisciplinary masters programme.
- Develop a transdisciplinary practice, working at the cross-section of different disciplines.
- Work professionaly in the arts or academia, in which case you will hugely benefit from the other study, having developed interdisciplinary skills that will help you work across disciplines, and combine or integrate different knowledge fields.
