A bedroom provides rich evidence about a person who lives in it. As this space is recognized as the most private place, the traces and appearance of elements in one’s bedroom are always unique and substantial. As a designer, I have always been intrigued by the potential of ordinary things. In this project, I documented my activities by tracking and recording the changes in my bedroom through time.
In this project, through the process of researching my own bedroom, I have created a novel recording and analytical pattern. This book reveals even a subtle transition of the objects. The order of chapters guides readers to experience a room from the abstract way to tangible, from imaginative to realistic.
I am giving shapes to the more mundane aspects of my life. To think beyond, this approach provides opportunities to get to know ourselves from a different perspective, which you may not notice in the first place.
Hopefully, my publication could serve not only as a new way or tool to observe yourself but also an inspiring, open-minded method that brings everyone new insights from ordinary objects.
