Job Jovanovic, a graduating student from Advertising & Beyond at WdKA, is currently working on Overcast, a stop-motion short film that brings together his interests in storytelling, music, and visual design. Overcast is a story that deals with themes of loneliness, grief, and compassion. The project began with writing and composing an original soundtrack, but soon evolved into a stop-motion film. Job is overseeing all aspects of production himself: building miniature sets, crafting characters, curating lighting and camera setups, and composing the musical score.
In early 2025, Job received the news that Overcast was selected for a graduation grant from NPO 3Lab—a platform that supports emerging creators in developing innovative media projects. The grant has allowed him to take the film to a more professional level, improving production quality and expanding the scope of what’s possible within the timeline of a graduation project.
Although the full film is still in development, a teaser for Overcast will be presented at the WdKA Graduation Show 2025, offering audiences an early glimpse into the world Job is creating. The final film is set to be completed after graduation.
