Illustrator, performer, and WdKA tutor Nino Maissouradze has released a daring and playful new book exploring the highs and lows of online dating: “Trek je de volgende keer een rokje aan?”(Will you were a dress the next time?).
Known for her fascination with people and their quirks, Nino dives headfirst into the world of virtual romance, capturing both the excitement and awkwardness of meeting someone new for the first time.
Through a mix of text and illustration, Nino sheds light on the joys, struggles, and sometimes cringe-worthy moments of online dating. Her book offers an unflinching yet playful look at the many facets of modern dating, exposing the delicate balance of how much we reveal about ourselves before meeting someone and how much bad behavior we’re willing to tolerate before calling it quits. She doesn’t shy away from uncomfortable moments—instead, she seeks them out, turning them into rich material for her work.
As a tutor and student coach at WdKA since 2020, Nino has been sharing her passion for illustration and people with the next generation of artists. Her latest work is a testament to that passion, celebrating the quirks and complexities of human connection.
