Teasers

Our Audiovisual Design students collaborated with the IFFR and Movies that Matter in making teasers that will be shown in the cinema theaters and online.

The teaser made by Naomi Snell will be shown at the following screenings:

  • Voices Short: Domestic Affairs: Friday Januari 26th, 22:00 Cinerama 4
  • Short Film Marathon: Two screenings on Saturday February 3rd in Kino 1

The teaser made by Bas Huijben (AV3) was selected to be shown during RTM, a special programme about Rotterdam and filmmakers from the city (see more below). Movies That Matter is Amnesty International’s cinema department. They have chosen a teaser made by Dominic Mulder to show in theaters as well as online for their On Tour programme.

Visits and Masterclasses

The first year students Audiovisual Design will visit the festival on January 29th to watch a short films programme and follow a Masterclass by Louis Henderson & Filipa César.

Student Work @ Kriterion, Project Profile Film Festival

During this year's IFFR edition you can enjoy a free film festival programme on the 1st of February! This film festival programme will be hosted in Kriterion, the most beautiful cinema of Rotterdam and is organised by Audiovisual Design students. Imagine sitting on top of the building, enjoying the beautiful view over Rotterdam - and then the screen slowly goes down, starting a fantastic film screening.

The first and second years' students will showcase a variety of work created in groups or individually. During a month of PLAY the students were assisted by professionals who provided the workshops in editing, creative writing and sound. Four weeks long students were free to work on their fascinations.

The third year students where busy making documentaries about artists and groups, with a variety of portraits within a broad perspective as a result. During the screenings all the makers will be present to introduce their films and have a short Q&A with the audience.

Between the films there is time for free drinks, popcorn and wonderful new connections. Reserve your ticket and find out all about the makers on the Facebook event page.

RTM

On Friday January 26th, IFFR will put the city of Rotterdam in the spotlights during RTM in LantarenVenster, with new films, classics, documentaries, archive material, poetry, music videos, art, installations and talks – all by people from Rotterdam. Among the films shown during RTM is Ma'MaQueen, by our alumna Esmée van Loon.

Friday January 26, 14:00 - 00:00 LantarenVenster
